Our services are tailored for hand-made rugs. Upon request, we can wash machine-made rugs too. We excel at washing both pile rugs and flat-woven rugs such as kilim of any type and origin, as well as Aubusson and other european rugs.
The process begins with a deep clean, where dirt is removed utilizing the latest techniques.
Next, the rug undergoes a thorough wash using water and detergents appropriate to its materials. This step addresses dirt, stains, unpleasant odors, and more.
After washing, the rug is carefully inspected and placed into temperature and moisture-controlled rooms for a gentle drying process.
For pile rugs, once dried, the rug receives a meticulous mechanical treatment by hand. Using brushes, each strand is guided to its rightful direction, restoring the rug’s original texture. Upon request, specialized treatments may be applied to address stubborn stains.
No, rugs will not shrink with a wash.
Rugs, and our rugs in particular, are made of exceptionally high-quality yarns that are tightly woven and knotted. They have already been washed before being sold and therefore can be considered pre-shrunk.
In addition, we carefully wash all rugs with appropriate water temperature and dry them in a controlled environment. This minimizes the risk of shrinking or warping.
